Dodge Dart 1968-2015Change

It's great on gas and really powerful for a small car. The only thinig I have an issue with is the voice commands. It only works about 80% of the time. All in all this car is a great option if you have a small budget. Even in the winter i did not find myself getting stuck all all. It really does have a lot of ower.

Bought new. Transmission replaced within 5 months. Hasn't been the same since. Fun and fast drive, but not very comfortable. Easy on gas.

I love this car. Looks great and when its working completely, its a great car to drive. I bought the Aero, 1.4L with a turbo and 6sp manual. Handles nice and looks nice. The electronics in this car suck! I can't go between services without having to take it in for something. So far they've replaced a cracked spark plug, passenger sun visor, radio, 2 speakers, and the car is currently rusting on the roof. Also with that I have a squeal they can't find and misfiring in the engine they feel, but are unable to fix because its not showing a code. Needless to say Im pushing Chrysler to buy it back as its causing too many issues. From the reviews I read, there isn't this many issues. I'm considering buying another Dart with more options to see if I have the same issues. Apparently I'm the only one with this many problems.

This car performs very well in acceleration and also handling also stopping. this car is equipped with all the extras except sunroof and navigation system. has rear view camera.

I grew up in Germany and have been a BMW owner most of my life. I needed to downsize and came across the Dart. Build on an Alpha Romeo chasis and powered with a fiat motor it took me by surprise. Handling and over all feel is very european.
It also has great lines and feels very sturdy on the road.

I've owned a Dodge Dart SXT-RALLYE 1.4 Turbo for a year now. I can tell you, after owning this and several Japanese 4 cylinder cars before - this is the best of them. I can compare this to my 2002 Honda SiR in terms of performance, but the price really has it beat. Even compared to newer Japanese cars - you won't get this much performance, with such great mileage (avg hwy/city combined - 6 L/100km. It's quite stunning and the looks aren't bad either. Considering its Alfa Romeo roots, I can say we get the best of Italy with Detroit pricing. The base model 2.0L engine leaves much to be desired though - stick with the GT 2.4L or the 1.4L Turbo engines. You won't be disappointed!

You'll enjoy the awesome power. You can take this car on the street also. I drive it everywhere, Everyone stops to look at it. Great car to drive and own. Sorry to see it go but need to make room for other progects.

I currently have a truck, super bad on gas... thought Id try the Dart, as I have heard raves about the gas economy. UNREAL car... I plan on purchasing this car in the near future, once i get my truck sold!

My first car was a dodge dart with a slant six, it was blue with black top, very reliable and that slant six put out good torque and power, my second car was a 71 doge dart with a 318, yellow with black top and tiger paws on rims, dual exhaust and headers, fast, fixed up and loved it

It is very comfortable and the interior is stylish. Though the exterior is not my favorite, it's still a great car.

This car was a beuty in its time. Now its as classic as classic can be. It was safetied last year and put on the road. Other than driving it once around the block, it hasn't really moved. I own a 2008 mustang and it gets all my drive time.

As for rating it. Its kind of difficult to compare to a newer vehicle. Overall this vehicle is in top shape and should be preserved.

This vehicle has it all. Really good looking car inside and out, with built in comfort. Awesome performance with great mileage. A wonderful commuter car, on gravel, mud and highway. The size is perfect for those tough parking spots. It's a Dodge, so of course it has get up and go! Love this car, you will too.

I only have 4000 km on my dart. It has a nice exhaust note, is much roomier in front than others in it's class, but it also drives likes it's bigger. Some people might not like that if they prefer a compact car feeling, but I like it. It handles good and the stability/traction control keeps things simple and saves you rubber, as this cars 1.4l turbo has about 30% more torque than anything in its class and will spin it's 17" wheels easily. I have a 6spd manual which takes getting used to with such a tiny 1.4l engine. You go through the first two gears very quickly, 3rd and 4th gear really have a long useable range. As far as issues I have with the dart, well the energuide fuel economy ratings are useless, the US ratings are much closer to the truth, I drive 2/3 highway, 1/3 city and my average is 38 mpg about 7.3 L/100 km, this is what energuide says the car gets in the city. My other beef is a reliability issue, primarily a crappy door or window seal on the drivers door, which produces an annoying whistle with any negative pressure on the window, even at 60 km per hour. I can make the window whistle just by turning up the fan in the car. I have to take it into the dealer as I didn't spend $23 000 to buy an expensive whistle. If they can fix that issue, I would love and not just like my car. Would I recommend it, yes, and if your on a budget definitely look at the base model, it is a lot of car for the money.
