Hyundai Genesis 2008-2016Change

I was impressed by this Genesis overall polished demeanor. Superb build quality and elegant styling provide a strong initial impression, and inside the Genesis furthers its luxury leanings with high quality materials, spacious accommodations and well-shaped seats. Underway, either engine provides strong and smooth acceleration.

This car has been great for me. I bought it in 2012 and it has been my everyday vehicle since then. The ride is complete comfort, also having the power sun shade on the back window has been so handy when it comes to people with the high beams on behind you. The 6 DVD changer has been very useful as well, while kids wait in the car they put a movie on and dont get into trouble. The surround sound system makes you want to stay in the car and watch the movie.

I had this car for a few years, rarely any problems with this car. Quite powerful engine.. great style, affordable for a luxury sedan. Can't beat Genesis price. Hyundai built a quality car for a great price. i'd give 10/10 on everything except fuel.. as you know.. 3.8L engine drinks gas more than the regular SUV's.. thats a trade off for having a flawless car with power. Very comfortable and very presentable.. I got nothing bad to say..

The Genesis is as warm and inviting as ever. Front and rear seats are equally comfortable and sporty as ever, and head/leg/shoulder room is plentiful. The steering wheel tilts and telescopes, so those with long legs and short arms can find a comfortable driving position in no time.

Firing up the 5.0L V8 is as simple as pressing the oversized “Start” button; the key remains in your pocket, and the engine fires to life with little drama, keeping its massive power a secret until you ask for it.

For lack of a better analogy, it’s first-generation LS400 quiet at any speed with the performance ability to outrun a Porsche Panemera.

I bought this vehicle used a couple of years ago with 54,000 kms. Fully loaded, with navigation, back up camera, leather, and an incredible stereo system (Lexicon 500 W, 17 speaker).

I don't buy many vehicles, as I usually keep them for 7 to 10 years. I test drove an Acura TL, Lexus ES, and some other ones in the same category. This one was the best. Very smooth ride.

I've had no reliability issues to date. Rock solid car. Car runs solid, and does not need premium gas. Great traction in the winter.

Would I ever buy another Hyundai Genesis sedan? You bet I would!

There is not a lot to complain about when it comes to driving the Genesis and it is capable of going head to head with high end contenders, but and this is a major drawback, once owned you are married to it, the car has no resale value to it and it will lose 53 to 60% of its value in less than 3 years, so unless you have tons of money to burn stay very far away from a new one, and when buying used negotiate the heck out of the deal so as to steal it as cheaply as possible as whatever you put into it will be money fast lost.

Very eye appealing car and very luxury for the price. I owned this car for little over a year and love eveything about it from the looks and the interior styling.

-On the comfort side, it is excellent. You have the heated seats for winter. The audio is perfect for daily drives or long trips. Keep in mind the suspension is stiffer than the average car due to the sports styling of the car. But it is unnoticeable unless going over heavy unsuspected bumps or train tracks etc.

-The car for its specifications performs well, though there is some turbo lag, make no mistake for it's price range it's tough to compete.

-As for fuel economy, it is running on a 2.0 4 cylinder, turbo, thus it is not as efficient as a hybrid or low performance car. However make no mistake, the price for a full take and where it will take you, is worth it.

-The interior design in my opinion is much better than, for example the FRS or BRZ in the price range/competitor side. The interior lighting is adjustable for your eyes and same thing with the NAV system. The leather blends with the car's appeal and in comparison to other cars the button do not seem tacky or toy like. However the gauges could be better placed, that being said.

-Exterior styling is superior, however there is the fake vents on the hood. That is based on personal taste, and to each their own.

-The car has proven to provide no issues. However it is used, and I as far as I am aware, as long as you take care of your car any car will be reliable.

If you buy a Genesis Sedan ,buy from a large dealership , you get butter service from the mecanique .
Get free oil change from Hyundai for 5 years or 100,000 km.
Need a great snow tire for this car in winter.

Three years of ownership and I have no complaints about this excellent vehicle. Looks great, great performance, sporty handling, and definitely a head-turner compared to equivalent sports cars.

This car is super fun to drive, tons of power and in great shape. Most of the miles are highway and it is terrific for quick highway passing. I love the paddle shifters for city hills. It's also a real looker! :)

This is a very peppy car. It took me a while getting used to the clutch as my other cars were not that responsive. First car that I've owned that I actually had the wheels scream! I kinda smoked my wife's 2014 Camaro with this little gem.

This was my first purchase and I wanted something fun and very sexy. That is exactly how I would describe this car. A great ride, reliable, fun and looks great on the road.

The good: fast, sounds great, hugs the road, looks amazing, lots of features inside, not too expensive and fairly reliable when it comes to the powertrain.

The bad: ride is too firm even for a sports car, tire noise is really loud at highway speed, creaks and rattles are excessive, panel gaps/fitment is the worst I've seen anywhere. Good highway crusing mileage of 8 L/100 km but in the city you'll be doing 13-17 L/100 km.

Conclusion: Still love my car, just wish Hyundai paid more attention to build quality.

I've had this car for about a year now and love it every time I drive it. Tiptronic paddle shifting is a great accessory.

If it wasn't for the couple electrical issues I had, I would still be driving this car. Incredible power and fuel economy. I could ste the cruise at 15kph over the speed limit and (105kph in a 90kph area) and burn only 6.7L/100km. Where else can you get a 320hp car with fuel economy like that. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. Just be aware, you can not put a hitch on one of these without running the risk of voiding your power train warranty.

Very positive. Excellent power, handling and economy. German sports cars, lookout!!!! Has been very reliable, fun to drive and a real head turner. Not too crazy about 2013 styling though.

This 4 door spacious sedan is a sleek elegant luxury ride at an affordable price. Low KM's and lots of power with every feature you can imagine.

Low maintenance with a great warranty. New Snow tires and winter rims with summer tires and alloy wheels in storage.

I bought this one with 40K on it and one owner, supposedly a trade up. I was fortunate it was under warranty or I would have sold the car long ago. It seems there is a major problem every 6 months. The timing chain was likely gone from the day I bought it and only became worse. The gas mileage & power improved once that was changed. The sunroof was fixed twice in 1 year. The first time they had to fly parts in from Korea. They paid for the car rental while they had mine. The tilt steering went (as did my partner's - same vehicle). The heater core is now defective with less than 100k on it. The sound system has also stopped and my partners is malfunctioning in the cold. It seems they had some problems that have continued.
The car rides beautiful and has lots of power for a heavy vehicle but the growing list of problems is becoming annoying. I poke to someone else with the same issue before selling theirs, never ending problems. I bought a more expensive vehicle to get away from this and all I have is more expensive problems. The ESC is also a major pain as it kills the engine while attempting to pass or change lanes. This becomes a safety issue & shutting it off every time you start the vehicle is ridiculous.

This model combines style and reliability, which sometimes is a rare find!
I personally firnd it a nice combination of fabrique and leather on the seats: durable and yet very comfortable, especially in summertime when you don't want your skin to stick to a pure leather seat.
With the manual transmission you can feel a lot of control over Hyundai Genesis Coupe. The car has an amazing Brembo brakes system. Genesis is easy to steer and it feels firm and steady on the wet road during rain. It's a great feature for Vancouver weather!!

Not a people carrier. But front seats are roomy.
Fuel economy is not bad for this type of car.

Being a sports car, it's not very comfortable but if you're looking for comfort this isn't the car for you.

My experience with this car has been great! I've only ever driven it in the summer so it's in mint condition. But don't be afraid to drive it in the winter. With the traction control and winter tires it can be a very reliable car through the winter season also.

this car is a blast to drive with the 3.8 litre has lots of power,only driven in nice weather and looked after,open the sunroof,crank on satellite radio and go for a cruise!!
