Great vehicle
We bought this car second hand for my husband last year and considering it is a car and I hate cars...this one is actually very nice. It is very comfortable to ride in and "floats" over the humps and bumps on the road like a dream...you can't even feel them. We took it on a weekend trip and the ride was very smooth and we got amazing gas mileage. We are amazed with the amount of room in the trunk!

I love it!
Rides like a dream! Pretty good on gas too for an 8 cylinder. It is a small 8...281 cu. in. I think a 4.8 litre. Blue leather interior...classy!

Terrific ride and handles very well
I have driven Grand Marquis continuously since my first new one in 1977 and have replaced this 2003 model with a newer one. I am sold on Grand Marquis Driveability, comfortable ride and style with all the conveniences. I like the fact that it has a rear wheel drive with a full frame that I feel adds to the safety.

trouble free, very dependable big trunk, very good gas mileage on highway, city not to good. car has lots of power to pass and to tow, styling is also very nice, you can fit 5 adults in here very comfortably, you don't need a SUV! these cars don't flip over very easily like SUV do,

Comfortable efficient car
This is my second Merc Grand Marquis and I will own more. I previously drove a 1996 Merc Grand marquis that ran flawlessly up until 398,000KM, when I sold it. My current 2001 has better handling and more power then previous car, and is running strong at 169,000KM. They are a great safe passenger vehicle and comfortable.

Beautiful car.
It's a PERFECT family vehicle, for both city driving and long road trips. A little lacking on in-town fuel efficiency. But the spacious interior and trunk more than makes up for it. A wonderful vehicle all around. I hope it lasts me a few more years.

Decent car.
Kind of a long vehicle, so you can't turn as sharp as some others. Rear wheel drive is kind of slippery on snowy/icy conditions. Something drained the battery a few times when sitting in storage; not sure what though, but be sure to disconnect your battery for storage.

Comfortable ride, smooth reliable powertrain
Needed a reliable car and knew the Grand Marquis/Crown Victoria/Town Car models were exactly that. These cars are very reliable. My Grand Marquis has the Handling Package, which has stiffer suspension settings, dual exhaust, analog gauges and a floor mounted shifter. Not that this is a sports car, but it handles very well and is surprisingly quick and agile. The best part is that you can comfortably bring along 4 friends and ALL of their luggage and still have room to spare. If you are looking for a comfortable, reliable, and powerful sedan, look no further.

Love this ride!!! If only it were as fuel efficient as it is safe and comfortable for trips!
I have drive this car to Edmonton many times, and the States.
Its reliable and super safe because of its build, but I am a young girl trying to save money and get out of debt. That is the only reason I have to get rid of this car. They have been know to drive for ever. (over 500)

My fav car
I have been driving an old Grand Marquis for over a decade and its the best car ever. When you drive it, you feel like you are floating on a cloud. Plus, it's not a gas guzzler and in most cases, it has gone miles with the needle below the empty line. It also turns on a dime.

Great luxury sedan
Had this car for 5 years and the ride is superb. The only downside this car was the fuel economy which I solved by running it on Propane along with gas. The car is very comfortable. This car is also very reliable. Love the V8.

Best Towing Car around....
After a lot of thinking and checking out cars of the same caliber, the Grand Marquis was the car chosen. It was because of the options available and after talking with mechanics, the big block motor for it's awesome pulling power. We used this car to tow a 35' travel trailer everywhere and we mean everywhere...Ontario to Florida 6 times, to the east coast once and out to the west coast and all it wanted was regular maintenance and fuel....
The ride was like floating on clouds and you couldn't hear the motor, even pulling the trailer if you had the windows up, it was super quiet...and very, very reliable....

1987 Mercury Grand Marquis

A very comfy car
I inherited an '87 Grand Marquis for my first car. It had already survived my grandfather (and running into a tree in Florida), my dad (who didn't run it into anything) and then it was mine (and I didn't run it into anything either - although I could have ... it was a well-built car).
It wasn't fashionable in the least, it felt like I was a tank and I much preferred to park in drive-through spots, but it really was a great car.
It is more comfortable than anything I've had since, super for long trips, had tons of options and power. It wasn't great on gas (I think I knew the gas station operator by name), and that could be expensive, but it had great pick-up and power.
We put a lot of miles on the car, from long trips, to daily commutes and errands, the car was well over 300,000km driven!
As it passed through the family, it seldom broke down or had any issues, kept us all safe, went on a great number of road-trips, and it was like saying goodbye to a member of the family when we finally replaced it once and for all.
