Pontiac G5 1998-2010Change

We bought this car through Auto Trader.ca. It's been a great little car. We got a good deal, took it to our mechanic and had the work done that they thought was necessary. It may not be the most comfortable car but it gets good gas mileage and zips around town like pretty much any newer car.

I have had this car for 5 yrs. my grandpa had it for 5 before me. Great little car. Reliable, good on gas.

The Pontiac G5 GT Coupe is a great car for the price you pay. The G5 has great fuel economy and is stylish and overall performance is great for a reasonable price. The G5 comes with lots of customization options for a decent price.

Bought used 2 years back, have had little to no problems. Love it. Had been a reliable family vehicle. Used for daily activities as well as commuting 100km a day for a year. It held up great. Only real issue is that there was recall issued for the ignition piece but the dealership was great in honoring yhr replacement.

Very good car on the highway at 120 kmh WHIT the wind un the back i get 6,4 litres /100km and whitout the wind un the back 6,9l /100 km so the car is ok on the gas the interiour IS nice and thé motor and tranny goes very good so overall i give it 7/10

I have had this car for just over a year and it has given me no problems whatsoever. I love the sporty look and the compact feel. It is not a good car if you need to haul around a lot of baggage or other goods but it is a pleasure to drive. I've had lots of compliments on it. Highly recommend.

great car , lots of power for a stock 148hp engine, cant go wrong with the 2.2l , i own the coupe and love it

She was a great car! Fas, efficient, comfortable. Okay on the gas per mile. All in all a good car until her last days. Never a regret!

Not a fan of this car but it's what we could afford at the time. We have had it for 2 years and it gets us around for now, until we can afford something better

this car is safe and reliable as a good first vehicle. the blind spots are small and the size of the car makes it easy to maneuver (parking). due to the age of my car i have encountered more issues than i would like in the 2 years i have had it

A small car that is fun to drive and can go when you want it to. I've been driving this car for almost 10 years now and it has held up nicely. Almost no work has been needed (outside of regular maintenance) and it still has the same pep it did when I ought it.

Everyone's reviews are so great about the Pontiac G5, but mine is an absolute pig on gas. I'm not hard on the gas pedal, but 15 minutes of in-town driving, and the tank has gone down 1/16th of a tank. It's a $40 fill-up, but that only lasts me 4-5 days.
When I get up to 80km/h the steering wheel shakes like crazy, and starts knocking. I've gotten the car checked out at a Pontiac dealership and nothing seems to be wrong with it according to them.
Also, when slowly accelerating the RPMs rise and fall rapidly, with my foot consistent on the pedal, it feels like it's chugging along, then it's fine if you punch the gas.
I got it used with only 100,000km on it!

Great small car to get to where you need. I was my first car and i have no complaints about this vehicle. Smooth and comfortable ride, handles corners and turns beautifly.

This car is very fun to drive, handles well, and gets great gas mileage. It doesn't have the greatest horsepower, but will get and go.I would recommend this car for a teenager/college student or just anyone who loves a small reliable car!

I have a 2005 Pontiac G5, its all black and I tinted the windows too. The car looks awesome!.
Rides very comfortably and has never given me any problem at all.
I do its oil changes every 5000Km and that seems to keep the car running smoothly.

This car is reliable, never had problems starting it winter as it is well maintained. Any repairs that needed to be done were done so through my warranty (only changed ball joint and control arms through both owners). Styling, even though it's from a Chevrolet Cobalt, looks better than other cars in its category which is one of the reasons I bought it.

Ride is good, doesn't feel too high or low in the seat proportionate to the road (compared to a Camry,Corolla,Civic or Mazda 3) and visibility in the cabin is great. Performance is better than most cars in category and doesn't consume much more gas than competitors. I got 7.6L/100km on highway and 8.9L/100km city.

There is a lot of trunk space due to the fact that it is a coupe.Rear seat space is limited but can provide sufficient room.

The Pontiac G5 has been a very reliable second car for the family. It has primarily been used for City driving but has no problems handling on the highway.
In 2013 I added new brakes and suspension...which was really the first significant repair work since 2008 (warranty and non warranty).
If you are looking for a starter car for tour kids or you just need a second vehicle to help meet the needs of the family this is a great car.
