2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara

This is an extremley reliable suv.
we have had this car since 2006 only having one issue with an electricle module and replacing brake pads and rotors. There is 125000 km on this vehicle.Also replaced tires.

It's an awesome little vehicle
Love love it, very reliable
great little vehicle and the price was good. Have had no issues with it whatsoever. My children learnt to drive with it as well, very easy to learn to drive with this little compact vehicle, I can not say enough about this car, love the color and the heated seats, the leather interior is very nice and comfortable. In winter in warms up so quickly it is a great all around comfortable ride, yes I would purchase this vehicle again. Possibly a newer version in the near future

A pretty decent car
12 years later, it is still working. Some things have had to get fixed but all in all a great car even though we live in the north where it snows most of the year

Awesome Compact SUV
This car has been trouble free for us and perfect for our family of 4. It is a true 4-wheel drive and getting stuck in snow or mud has been virtually impossible! The quality of the mechanicals, interior and paint stands out for a vehicle at this price point. It has a good size 4 cylinder engine that revs freely when you need the power but still decent on gas. It's a lot of truck, especially compared to the car based small SUV's out there. Great vehicle!

Amazing vehicle for the outdoors
Handles great in poor driving conditions, have never felt safer in a vehicle. The mileage isn't great, however it is AWD so that is to be expected. Very comfortable interior - the driver's seat fits myself (5'5) and my partner (6'0) comfortably with minimal seat adjustment. Great car!

Solid, dependable, great little workhorse
I bought this vehicle new with everything but leather seats. The road handling and winter capability is amazing. With the 4x4 and stability system it handles a trailer with ease in snow, sand, mud, or ice covered roads. The heated seats and quick warming engine are a great comfort on a cold day. Even at -40C, the remote start works every time and the heater is blowing warm within a few minutes. The short wheelbase makes for great maneuverability while the SUV body gives plenty of interior space. With our cold winters and long distance between cities, this is the perfect vehicle for Canada.

Love it in the snow & off roads
Great on Gas very stable lots of fun I had a ford Explorer before and I would not give up this little bundle of joy for any Big gas guzzlers SUV out there.

Safe, comfortable and reliable
Best car yet. I have owned more than 25 cars in my lifetime. This is the 3rd new car and the only car that has needed nothing but routine maintenance. Versatile, easy to drive, handles great and performs well under all conditions I have tested.

Best value for money
I have driven this car without any problem! Japanese made with sleek interior design. The power of 4x4 is evident. I found that the car feels very safe due to its design and handles very well.
Mechanically its more sturdy than honda CRV and Hyundai Tuscon, which I owned while driving Grand Vitara. There is a clear distinction.

Such a reliable car
When I bought the Suzuki grand vitara I liked its shape, so unique, different from others. It is very low maintenance, however one need to be diligent on regular checkups. I like that it has the four wheel drive feature which I use a lot during the winter months when there is lots of snow. It is a saver when it comes to gas consumption. There is lots of leg room.

very reliable all purpose SUV, great vehicle!
We have this SUV for 6 years, and in 6 years it never (can you believe it!) let us down. Great handling on any road and off-road. It does not have heated back seats which could be a useful feature and it consumes more gas in cruise control mode on uphill roads. On the other hand this is the first car where we felt comfortable not using winter tires.
We got this vehicle fully loaded at about $5K cheaper than a starting price of comparable SUVs at a time, which looking back turned out to be a great deal. Great job by Suzuki!

The ultimate entry level off roading vehicle
Handels well on dirt roads with good clearance. Plenty of interior space, with seats that are also comfortable in the back. Not so economical in the city/highway. Great family car that just keeps on going.

Poor Fuel Economy
Good vehicle but POOR POOR POOR fuel consmption
some of the features are good but some are poor. like it tells you be careful when the temprature is below 0, but does not give accurate fuel mileage to go
